Alaska Airlines Expands Reach with New Nonstop Service from Seattle to Seoul: New Update

Alaska Airlines is set to expand its global reach with the launch of a new nonstop route between Seattle (SEA) and Seoul Incheon (ICN), starting September 12, 2025. This new service will be operated using Hawaiian Airlines’ Airbus A330-200, marking a key development in Alaska Airlines’ growing international operations.
Timed to coincide with the Chuseok holiday, South Korea’s version of Thanksgiving, the new flights offer the perfect opportunity for families to reunite and celebrate this important cultural occasion. With several weekly departures, travelers will have flexible scheduling options to fit their needs.

Alaska Airlines is focused on expanding its international footprint, with plans to offer nonstop service to at least 12 international destinations from Seattle by 2030. Seattle is currently the largest West Coast hub, with direct connections to 104 destinations across North America.
The Seattle-Seoul route is a significant part of Alaska Airlines’ long-term goal to establish Seattle as a major global hub. This follows the airline’s plans to introduce daily flights to Tokyo Narita (NRT) starting May 12, further enhancing its international offerings.
Looking further ahead, Alaska Airlines is set to introduce the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Seattle-Seoul route, offering passengers a more luxurious travel experience with modern amenities and enhanced comfort for long-haul flights.
Enhanced Connectivity for Seattle Travelers
This new nonstop service not only strengthens Seattle’s status as a key gateway to Asia but also opens up exciting new travel opportunities. Whether for business or leisure, passengers will benefit from convenient schedules and seamless connections between the Pacific Northwest and South Korea. Alaska Airlines is well-positioned to become a dominant player in the global travel market, as it continues to innovate and expand its international network.
