Tourism New Zealand Accelerates Growth in Indian Market with Strategic Partnerships and Powerful Seasonal Campaigns to Drive Year-Round Visitor Engagement


Tourism New Zealand strengthens its presence in the Indian market with key partnerships and seasonal campaigns, aiming to boost year-round travel to the destination.
Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is working to enhance the travel experience for Indian visitors by removing traditional barriers and simplifying the booking process. With a focus on promoting New Zealand’s stunning landscapes and rich culture, TNZ is also offering new incentives for Indian travelers to consider New Zealand as a year-round vacation spot.
One major initiative is the potential establishment of a direct flight route between India and New Zealand, which would ease long-haul travel and make the destination more accessible. At a special tourism event, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Air India and Air New Zealand, exploring direct connectivity to simplify travel between the two countries.
In addition, TNZ is working strategically to boost Indian visitor numbers by forming key partnerships and seasonal initiatives. Recently, TNZ partnered with Auckland Airport and Air New Zealand in a joint commitment to invest in a seasonal marketing campaign aimed at attracting visitors during off-peak seasons, thereby increasing demand for travel to New Zealand.
As part of these efforts, TNZ also entered into joint venture agreements with nine prominent Indian travel agencies to create tailored travel experiences that cater to the preferences of Indian tourists, especially promoting New Zealand’s winter and spring seasons.
Moreover, TNZ launched an integrated winter campaign that combines targeted media content with promotional travel packages. This initiative aims to engage Indian travelers through digital media, offering conversion opportunities via travel partners, and highlighting New Zealand’s winter attractions, adventure sports, and luxurious accommodations.
