China, India, Germany, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan Boost Travel with Air Astana Expansion of Spring-Summer Schedule with New International Routes and Seasonal Flights from Kazakhstan

Air Astana, the national carrier of Kazakhstan, is expanding its Spring-Summer flight schedule, starting from March 30, 2025. This major schedule overhaul includes an expanded international route network, new destinations, and a strategic increase in flight frequencies to several popular cities. The airline’s commitment to strengthening its network will enhance connectivity not only for Kazakhstan’s travelers but also for international tourists looking to explore new destinations in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
This expansion is part of Air Astana’s ongoing efforts to provide passengers with more convenient flight options while tapping into the increasing demand for travel across regions. With new seasonal routes and expanded frequencies to established favorites, the airline is positioning itself to better cater to both leisure and business travelers in the coming months.
Key Expansions in Air Astana’s Route Network
- Antalya, Turkey: A Mediterranean Gateway
One of the most exciting developments in Air Astana’s Spring/Summer schedule is the increase in flights to Antalya, Turkey. Known for its stunning Mediterranean coastline, Antalya has long been a favorite vacation destination for travelers from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. From March 30, 2025, Air Astana will offer 12 flights per week from Almaty and 10 from Astana to Antalya, making it easier than ever for travelers to reach this popular resort city.
The increase in flight frequency is designed to cater to the growing demand for Mediterranean vacations, particularly in the summer months. With its combination of beautiful beaches, rich cultural history, and luxury resorts, Antalya is expected to remain a top destination for Kazakhstan’s outbound travelers this summer.
- Tbilisi, Georgia: The Charming Capital of Georgia
Air Astana’s expanded flight options to Tbilisi, Georgia, are another key highlight of its Spring/Summer schedule. The Almaty-Tbilisi route will continue with up to 10 flights per week, while the Astana-Tbilisi route resumes with up to four weekly flights. A new Atyrau-Tbilisi route will also be introduced, providing three flights per week. This brings the total number of weekly flights between Kazakhstan and Georgia to 17.
Tbilisi has become a major cultural and historical destination in recent years, attracting visitors with its vibrant food scene, picturesque architecture, and welcoming locals. Georgia’s visa-free entry policy for Kazakhstani citizens further strengthens its appeal as a travel destination.
- Increased Flight Frequency to Istanbul, Turkey
For travelers heading to Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul, Air Astana is increasing its flight frequency on the Almaty-Istanbul route. Starting from March 30, 2025, the number of weekly flights will rise from seven to 10. Istanbul is one of the world’s most vibrant cities, rich in history and culture, and a key hub for travelers seeking connections to other European, Middle Eastern, and African destinations. With this increased frequency, Air Astana is making it easier for passengers to travel to one of the world’s most important cities. - New International Destinations: Vietnam, China, India, and Germany
In addition to its expanded regional network, Air Astana is introducing several new international destinations:
- Nha Trang, Vietnam: Starting March 24, 2025, Air Astana will launch flights from Almaty to Nha Trang, with four flights per week, and from Astana to Nha Trang, with three flights per week. Nha Trang is a famous beach destination known for its pristine white sands, clear waters, and rich cultural heritage. Its popularity among international tourists, particularly in Asia and Europe, makes it a prime addition to Air Astana’s international route network.
- Guangzhou, China: Air Astana will start flying to Guangzhou, one of China’s largest business and trade centers, from Almaty starting March 30, 2025. With three flights per week, this route is designed to meet the demand for business travel, as well as to support growing tourism between Kazakhstan and China.
- Mumbai, India: Beginning April 20, 2025, Air Astana will offer three flights per week from Almaty to Mumbai. As a major economic and cultural hub in India, Mumbai is an essential gateway for business and leisure travelers. The new route will open up opportunities for increased trade and tourism between Kazakhstan and India.
- Frankfurt, Germany: Starting in the summer of 2025, Air Astana will begin direct flights from Almaty to Frankfurt, operating three times per week. Frankfurt is Europe’s largest financial center and a key transit hub for international flights, making it an important addition to Air Astana’s European network.
- Da Nang, Vietnam: Air Astana will begin flying from Astana to Da Nang twice a week from May 14, 2025, and from Almaty twice a week starting June 4, 2025. Known for its stunning beaches, historical landmarks, and delicious cuisine, Da Nang is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia.
- Seasonal Routes: Resort Destinations to Reopen
As part of its seasonal offerings, Air Astana will resume flights to several popular vacation destinations:
- Podgorica, Montenegro: Flights from Almaty and Astana to Podgorica will resume from June to September, offering travelers a chance to explore Montenegro’s beautiful Adriatic beaches and the stunning Balkan landscape.
- Batumi, Georgia and Bodrum, Turkey: Starting in June 2025, Air Astana will operate up to five flights per week to both Batumi and Bodrum. These cities are major tourist hubs for travelers seeking a mix of beach resorts, rich history, and vibrant culture.
Kazakhstan’s Growing Role in Regional and Global Travel
With its growing network of international and seasonal routes, Air Astana is positioning Kazakhstan as a central player in the region’s travel and tourism landscape. The airline’s focus on expanding its international connectivity, particularly to key business hubs and resort destinations, aligns with the country’s vision to become a major travel and trade center in Central Asia.
Kazakhstani citizens will benefit from visa-free entry to several of the destinations on Air Astana’s expanded schedule, including Georgia, Turkey, Montenegro, China, and Vietnam. This convenience is expected to increase travel demand, especially to emerging destinations like Da Nang, Guangzhou, and Nha Trang.
Air Astana’s Spring/Summer 2025 flight schedule is a significant step toward expanding Kazakhstan’s presence in global tourism and business. With increased frequencies to popular cities and the introduction of new international destinations, the airline is catering to the growing demand for travel from Kazakhstan to key regions across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
As global travel continues to rebound, Air Astana’s strategic expansion not only strengthens Kazakhstan’s position as a key regional hub but also provides passengers with more choices for international travel. Whether for business, leisure, or seasonal escapes, Air Astana’s expanded route network offers the convenience, frequency, and connectivity that modern travelers seek.
