Southern Railway alters train services on Mar 28 due to track work at Pugalur yard near Karur; several trains to be short-terminated or rescheduled.
Southern Railway has announced several modifications to train services on March 28, 2025, due to track renewal and maintenance work at Pugalur railway yard near Karur.
- Train No. 56809 Tiruchchirappalli-Erode Passenger, scheduled to depart Tiruchchirappalli Jn at 7:20 AM, will be short-terminated at Karur Jn on March 28. The train will only run between Tiruchchirappalli Jn and Karur Jn, and will not proceed to Erode Jn.
- Train No. 16845 Erode-Sengottai Express, originally scheduled to depart from Erode Jn at 2:00 PM, will now depart from Karur Jn at 3:05 PM on March 28. The train will not operate between Erode Jn and Karur Jn, but will proceed from Karur Jn to Sengottai.
- Train No. 16846 Sengottai-Erode Express, scheduled to depart Sengottai at 5:10 AM, will be short-terminated at Karur Jn on March 28.
- Train No. 16843 Tiruchchirappalli-Palakkad Town Express, scheduled to leave Tiruchchirappalli Jn at 1:00 PM, will be short-terminated at Karur Jn. Once the track work at Pugalur is completed, this train will continue as an unreserved special from Karur to Palakkad Town.
