Porter Airlines Enhances Interprovincial Travel Across Québec and the Maritimes Through New Collaboration with Pascan Aviation

A game-changing partnership between Porter Airlines and Pascan Aviation is set to transform regional air travel in Eastern Canada, linking small communities with Porter’s fast-expanding North American route network. This new interline agreement will create seamless connections between regional cities in Québec and the Maritimes and major hubs across Canada and the United States.
Through central connection points in Halifax and Québec City, passengers can now access more than ninety combined routes, blending Pascan’s specialized regional service with Porter’s expansive network that stretches from coast to coast and into the U.S. Key Pascan destinations—such as Bonaventure, Gaspe, and Sept-Îles—will now enjoy one-stop access to major cities including Vancouver, Orlando, Chicago, and beyond.
The collaboration unlocks year-round travel possibilities on ambitious cross-country and cross-border routes. Examples include smoother connections on long-haul itineraries like Vancouver to Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Orlando to Saint John, New Brunswick. Regional routes such as Sault Ste. Marie to Bonaventure and Gaspe to Timmins also become accessible thanks to this strategic alliance.
While Halifax and Québec City serve as the primary connection points, other regional airports will play a supporting role in bolstering this new wave of mobility. As travel demand grows in underserved areas, this partnership ensures that smaller cities aren’t left behind.
“Porter’s new partnership with Pascan means improved service and more choices for passengers across North America who travel through regional Eastern Canada,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines. “The upcoming opening of the new terminal at Montréal Metropolitan Airport, which Porter and Pascan will both operate flights from, will further grow this partnership and provide opportunities for travellers to connect seamlessly across the continent.”
Looking ahead, the upcoming opening of the new terminal at Montréal Metropolitan Airport—conveniently located on the South Shore—promises to further enhance connectivity. Both Porter and Pascan are set to maintain a strong presence at the modern facility, which will serve as a vital link in their growing networks.
This partnership marks the beginning of broader collaboration between the two airlines. As air travel continues to rebound, the Porter-Pascan alliance is poised to offer travelers more destinations, smoother connections, and easier access to both local and international routes.
“This partnership along with the opening of the new terminal is truly amazing. We have been waiting for this kind of project here at the Montréal Metropolitan Airport since 2004,” said Yani Gagnon, co-owner at Pascan Aviation. “This will open up a whole new range of opportunities that will greatly benefit our mutual clientele.”
