Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is actively working to make it easier for Indian travellers to explore New Zealand’s stunning landscapes and rich culture by launching initiatives designed to eliminate traditional obstacles, streamline the booking process, and provide fresh reasons to consider the country for year-round holidays.

A potential direct flight route between India and New Zealand is set to address long-standing travel barriers, simplifying the lengthy journey and enhancing convenience. During a tourism event organized by TNZ, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was present to witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Air India and Air New Zealand. This partnership aims to explore the feasibility of direct flights, a move that will undoubtedly make New Zealand more accessible to travellers from India.

Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is strengthening its efforts to boost Indian arrivals by forming strategic partnerships and launching seasonal travel initiatives. Recently, TNZ signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Auckland Airport and Air New Zealand, pledging investments in a joint marketing campaign aimed at generating demand and encouraging off-peak visits to New Zealand.

Furthermore, TNZ has forged joint venture agreements with nine Indian travel partners to create tailored travel experiences designed specifically for Indian travellers. These partnerships focus on promoting New Zealand’s winter and spring seasons, with an emphasis on unique experiences that cater to Indian preferences.

As part of these efforts, an integrated winter campaign has been introduced, combining media content with special travel packages. The campaign targets Indian tourists through digital media placements, offering conversion opportunities through travel partners and highlighting New Zealand’s winter attractions, adventure sports, and luxurious accommodations.
